Frequently Asked Questions

Can I nominate a participant?

Yes. If you'd like to nominate a community thought leader for the INTERACT program or request an invitation for yourself, email int-reg@microsoft.com and share a little information about your nominee's activity in the IT community and the unified communications space. We'd like to hear from you!

What Is INTERACT2010?

Microsoft’s INTERACT2010 is an exclusive program for leaders in unified communications. This technology program provides a special opportunity for you to develop deep technical knowledge about Microsoft’s unified communications products, build powerful new connections with leading professionals in the industry, and gain insights into the future of unified communications technologies. INTERACT2010 begins with a kickoff event and continues with ongoing networking and technical engagement opportunities.

Why Should You Attend INTERACT2010?

Microsoft’s INTERACT2010 is an opportunity for you and other key IT influencers and technology pioneers in the unified communications space to share ideas, build relationships, and partner with Microsoft to create a strong, dedicated, Microsoft unified communications community. INTERACT2010 is an incredible opportunity to get connected to a world of expert information and pioneering best practices and get prepared for the future of unified communications.

What's the registration process?

You should receive an invitation to INTERACT by email: your invitation will include a registration link.

What Type of Agenda and Activities are Planned for Microsoft’s INTERACT2010?

INTERACT2010 will provide networking opportunities and open discussion sessions—in-person and virtual—with the product teams, leaders and drivers for Microsoft's unified communications technologies, as well as leading industry professionals. A pre-event technical readiness kit includes technical sessions of expert-level content.

How is Microsoft's INTERACT2010 Different from Events like Tech·Ed?

The real value of the INTERACT experience is participating in deep technical discussions about information you won't find elsewhere, and establishing close ongoing engagements with Microsoft and local technology experts. While the Microsoft Tech·Ed experience focuses on the deep technical presentations, INTERACT2010 focuses on the technical discussions that happen after the presentations. It’s during these discussions that Microsoft topic experts get to share their in-depth knowledge about your specific questions. And it’s during these discussions that you get to network with other local subject matter experts.

Where and when will Microsoft’s next INTERACT2010 events take place?

  • INTERACT2010: Warsaw January 28, 2010

More locations and dates are planned... please email int-reg@microsoft.com if you'd like to be contacted when details are finalized.

Can I attend virtually?

Typically, yes - but virtual attendance is not supported for the Berlin event. Arguably, the greatest benefit of Microsoft's INTERACT2010 is the close person-to-person engagement with other community members, but we know that travel isn't always possible. So we'll help support online networking before and after the event (you can join the Facebook, LinkedIn and Windows Live groups today, and follow INTERACT2010 on Twitter), and will support Live Meeting connections to several sessions during the day.

Seats are limited, so reserve your space soon.

What's the cost to register?

There are no registration fees for INTERACT2010 attendees.

What is the cancellation policy for INTERACT2010?

All registration cancellations must be received online or in writing via email to registration@interact09.com. Travel and hotel reservation cancellations are the responsibility of the registrant.

Will there be ample time allocated to engage in strategic discussions and networking throughout the event?

Absolutely. The event is designed to enable attendees to chat throughout the day with product experts and key influentials, gaining insight and getting answers to tough questions. Social networking events are scheduled to enable attendees to connect and interact with one another. And yes, Microsoft product team members will attend!

Will there be other INTERACT2010 events in additional international markets? If so, which international markets and when?

Yes, there are plans to expand and launch INTERACT2010 in additional international markets. If you are interested in seeing an Interact event in your area, or want more information, please send a note to int-reg@microsoft.com.
